Rooted in Community
Friends of Thurmont regional Library
What began in the 1990s as a small group of volunteers supporting their local library in downtown Thurmont has grown into an ongoing community effort that continues to support the library today.
Formally incorporating as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2019, the Friends of Thurmont Regional Library, Inc. continue that tradition of support today at the Thurmont Regional Library.
More than just book sales, the Friends are neighbors who come together to expand what the library can offer. Funding programs, enhancing resources, and creating opportunities beyond what public funding alone can provide. We believe in the role that a strong library plays in bringing a community together.
